Xose Manuel Baltar Blanco, máis coñecido como "Baltarín" ven de saltar os terreos da columna periodística da man de "A nosa terra", ( que non !... que xa non só escriben vellos comunistas e "upegallos"), unha nova faceta para o fillo do home do renacemento, todo un home feito a sí mesmo, que comparte agora con todos nos as súas ideas e propostas máis alá do seu famoso "blog"...aiii ! Que redondiño, que moreniño ea vez que cores, frito ou asado ten que estar boísimo !

A cuestión polémica está no seu derradeiro artigo, no que non sabemos si Baltar "junior" comparte ideas co Galpón de Breogán, ou si trataríase de un de tantos fans que imita os seus ídolos; co que o seu Comité de saúde pública se ve obligado a intervir, debido os correos que recibimos nos que dan por feito que Baltar Blanco, é o famoso sexto compoñente do Galpón, vexamos agora as coincidencias (que son só eso !) cos derradeiros "post" do Galpón:

Outra fin de semana de portadas dos xornais con Anxo Quintana con sombreiro “panamá” bailando pasodobles –quen o diría!– logo dunha chocolatada pagada por esta inimitábel Vicepresidencia da Igualdade e do Benestar. A punto de “celebrar” os tres primeiros anos da “unión de feito” de socialistas e nacionalistas galegos que aínda non se puxeron de acordo nin en como lle chamar ao noso país. É certo que a única denominación lexítima é Galicia, para iso están as leis, pero Emilio Pérez Touriño non pode intervir neste debate porque é incompetente. Incompetente. Ten que limitarse a mirar para outro lado e asubiar. Desastroso. Ata aqui todo normal, vexamos a listaxe numerada de sospeitosas coincidencias cos textos do Galpón ( en azul, os textos galponianos).

Non importa que non aparezan as facturas da viaxe a La Habana, habelas hainas. E non falo do “anecdótico” da factura dos 400 mojitos (ou serán molliños?) ou da dos non sei cantos billetes de avión, en business class of course, da “embaixada” cultural que asistíu a esas xornadas de traballo en Varadero (perdón, Varadeiro).( 1º NACIONALISMO E BEBIDAS ESPIRITOSAS)

Touriño tamén pasa de puntas por outro episodio da “guerra dos carteis” (vai camiño de converterse nunha triloxia) ante as declaracións do comercio galego avogando pola liberdade á hora de rotular os seus negocios (a primeira parte fora cando Darth Losada (2º DÍA DO ORGULLO CORUÑO, home, non se refire o mesmo Losada, pero estrana asociación, por que de sobra é coñecido o apego a Antón Losada do Galpón: ANTÓN LOSADA DEVORANDO OS SEUS FILLOS) tivera aquel “incidente” coa policía autonómica).

A realidade é que Touriño (¿ou Tourinho?) compareceu para falarnos da súa derradeira viaxe a Sudamérica (a do cartelito con Zapatero e bandeiras socialistas xunguido ao seu posto institucional) e os escanos dos nacionalistas do goberno estaban baleiros…(3ºDÍA DAS LETRAS "GALLEGAS")

Agás Anxo, claro, supoño que con ganas de intervir para arremeter –como fixo o voceiro nacionalista– contra outro exercicio de demagoxia e de cinismo político practicado polo creador da língua con máis éxito nesta lexislatura: o touriñés.

Un touriñés que conta con vocablos tan ricos como “pisimismo”, “pasar holla”, “imposto de succións e donacións” ou “ustede” e “xacabeo”. Un touriñés que posúe unha verba específica para referirse á nosa terra. Nin a Galicia oficial, nin a Galiza ilegal nin mesmo a Gallaecia que figura na xenial vidriera de Díaz Pardo no hemiciclo da Cámara galega. O axeitado sería dicir, como xa se lle ten escoitado a Emilio Pérez, “Galucia”. Sí señor “La Xunta from Galucia”. Así estamos, asistindo cada novo día a polémicas estériles xeneradas por un bipartito que nin sabe dos problemas do país nin lles contesta (4º HUMOR...CON TOURIÑO?, aquí facíamos referenza cun famoso video sobre o "touriñés")

BSG: Who would you Boink?

Tonight, new episodes of Battlestar Galactica return to the Sci-Fi Channel at 10pm. I suspect most of the weebles probably don't watch BSG, so I'm going to prepare you to answer the most important question regarding the series. This way if someone accosts you on the street with the urgent question: "Who do you think the 5th and final cylon is?" You can give the appropriate response: "I don't freakin' care, but I would totally sleep with _______"

BSG S.Q. CHARACTER GUIDE

-Admiral William Adama

Played by Edward James Olmos, Adama is the Admiral of the fleet and commanding officer of the Battlestar Galactica. A soft-spoken hard-hitter, the senior Adama would likely appeal to Daddy's girls, female literature professors, and closeted Semper Fi's with unresolved yearnings.

- President Laura Roslin

You may recognize Mary McDonnell from Dances with Wolves and Independence Day. Roslin in a tough, savvy politician with a few moral gray areas. She has cancer in the program, but this is a woman who could still competently handle a whip/football team/chicken. By the look in her eye, you know she views any male ranking less than admiral as merely breakfast.

- Starbuck

Yes, she's a girl! From Oregon! True story: Portland born Katee Sackhoff brings an edge to Viper Pilot Kara Thrace that the original, congenial male Starbuck probably never envisioned. Though a very tough and physical character, there is a certain transparency, a lack of manipulation to Starbuck that would probably appeal to anyone who has recently survived a divorce.

- Lee 'Apollo' Adama

Former viper pilot, and only remaining son of the Admiral, Lee Adama is the idealist of the group. He has a great body, and a moral compass that would make 82% of all potential mates develop a severe inferiority complex. Lee would be the wet-dream of far-lefties, pro-bono attorneys and John Mayer fans. Oh, btw, Dibs.

-Dr. Gaius Baltar

I don't want my own impression of Baltar to color your perceptions (he's a sleazeball). I will say that Baltar is probably the best dresser on the show. I won't say that this is because his vanity is of mammoth, unwieldy proportions. (oops) I will say, he isn't real hard to get. Just be reasonably attractive and look at him for a second, he's yours. Baltar's a good person to be with if you've recently been dumped by someone like Lee Adama. You can feel morally superior to Baltar right up until he sleeps with your mom at your graduation dinner. After that you should focus more energy on hoping they used protection.

-Six

Oh, she's a man-eater. She's also a cylon, but if a little artificial intelligence doesn't bother you, this bionic 'skin-job' can offer both physical and mental challenges to satisfy the masochist in you. Yeah, she's a little unpredictable: One moment she's pledging her eternal love to a human and coming across all vulnerable, the next she's beating up old eyepatch and slamming Baltar around by the hair. But men love that shit, don't they? Oh, btw- she has sisters. Lots and lots of sisters.

-Samuel T. Anders

In case you can't tell from the name alone, Anders is an all-purpose hottie. Pilot, resistance fighter, conveniently qualified husband to Kara Thrace (or at least to her impulsive libido) Anders is your standard go-to guy. The name says it all: Samuel T., c'mon. They don't give a character a middle initial unless it means something. 'T.' means trustworthy character, and 'Z.' means reliably evil. Anders would be ideal for uncomplicated carnal stress relief in a car or a warehouse. He's just that kind of guy. Er... cylon, rather.

- Galen Tyrol

Tyrol is the every man's man. He gets his hands dirty, damn it. He shows up every day and does his job. But... like so many of us, he has quirks. 1. He's a cylon. To his credit, this realization has brought him intense anguish, but still. 2. After his wife, Cally, died (got offed by a Cylon) he screamed about the 'boiled cabbage stench of her'. I personally find this intimidating. It would suck to be in a relationship with someone and discover that this is the epitaph they've been storing up.

-Tory Foster

The cylon who killed Galen's wife, y'know? Yeah, it was her. Tory: Advisor to the president, closet Cylon, Baltar's part-time bimbo (she also nailed Anders), manipulator extraordinaire. If snakes fascinate you, or you find yourself envious of Michael Douglas in Basic Instinct, Tory might just be your ticket to ride.

- Saul Tigh

For anyone trying to wean themselves off a pirate fetish, I present Saul Tigh. The gravelly voice, the eyepatch, the alcoholic tendencies, all these should make your transition from swashbucklers to bitter old men very smooth and easy going. You probably expect it by this point, but yeah, he's a Cylon, too.

-Cylon Hybrid

I don't fully understand what exactly she does. She's plugged into the ship somehow, and she lives in one of those pools where the Cylons are 'born' again after being downloaded. Both scary and wise, the Hybrid *knows* things. Given, she doesn't get out much, still this character might appeal to that shady demographic who patronize Hentai tentacle porn.

O nome do episódio não corresponde à realidade dele. Velocidade, onde? Achei tudo muito, muito parado. Ia dizer que era um episódio de "ligação", onde nada de prático acontece de fato, mas lembrei que acontecem coisas sim, só que só com o Baltar. E, desculpa, embora eu adore o personagem, I really don't care about it. Uma guerra religiosa só é interessante quando vocês se importa com pelo menos uma das religiões envolvidas. Guerra de religiões fictícias dá um sono desgramado. E as "missas" dos deuses de Kobol, para mim, tiram o foco da "realidade" da série. Acho chato. Reconheço a importância para a série, mas *sono*.

A única parte que eu achei interessante na briga toda foi o discurso do Baltar no final. "Vocês são perfeitos", "Deus te ama como você é". Deus deixa de ser o cara do mau (Velho Testamento?) e vira um cara que te ama apesar dos seus defeitos. Um paralelo interessante. Pena que eu tive que aturar meia hora de inutilidades e destruição de imagens de deuses de mentirinha para chegar nisso.

De resto, um episódio para encher lingüiça. O único ponto alto foi a discussão do Tyrol com o Adama. Sensacional o desabafo dele. E que abre duas perguntas importantes, que eu não tinha pensado antes. Se ele ainda é apaixonado pela Boomer (o que o discurso deixa claro) e ele é um cylon, tecnicamente nada impede que eles fiquem juntos. E isso pode desequilibrar a balança. O Chief é fiel aos humanos, por sua família e seu trabalho. Agora, a Cally se foi, o Nicky virou uma possibilidade assustadora e ele foi banido do deck. Pergunta número 1: se ela estiver em jogo, o que ele vai fazer? Número 2: o que ELA vai fazer quando descobrir que ele é um cylon? Vai se entregar ao cara que ela realmente gostava ou vai ficar amarga e jogar na cara: "quando eu descobri e disse que não sabia, você não ficou do meu lado"? É, amigo, o mundo dá voltas, mesmo quando ele foi explodido em milhões de pedacinhos.

Não entendo as críticas ao Lee. Tá, ele foi bundão na terceira temporada, fato. Mas não está sendo nessa. Ele teve um papel essencial no estabelecimento das liberdades democráticas e eu juro que não entendo porque tem gente caindo matando nele. Achavam que a Roslin tava certa, é isso?

Enfim, um episódio mediano, sem "velocidade" nenhuma. Vamos esperar a semana que vem.

First the cylon issue -- Wasn't it in the preview last week that the final cylon will be revealed?

I like the fact that Saul like's it rough. And seeing his old wife all over again is a very nice touch. Now I'm not saying Ellen Tigh was a cougar -- hell, she's more like a mountain lion. And now we know she wore the pants in that relationship.

Apollo being a senator is getting a little old. Ok, we get that the right to assemble is important but a whole frakin' episode about it? Not good clock management -- wait, am I writing about BSG or the Cincinnati Bengals coaching staff?

What's the over/under of President Roslyn dying right as we reach Earth? Kinda like Moses. She can go to the promise land but not enter it.

Chief breaking down is cool. Looks like he's going to go all Travis Bickel on the crew next week. I hope I hope I hope.

Now on to Gaius...

The Chosen One is in the house wait, scratch that, the chosen one is in the cargo haul. Giaus has got the power to start shaking things up a bit more with his religious stuff. It's nice to know I'm perfect. Well it's nothing new to me, my mother has been saying that for years. I'm the perfect son. With the GOD complex will Giaus turn his harem of hotties into suicide bombers???????

When the crew members of the Galactica gossip about each other, do they type "OMG'S"?????? For those scratching their heads, it stands for "OH MY GOD'S".

Can you get a better actor than Dean Stockwell? I think not. He plays so well off of other actors as well as himself. And you don't cross him ever. So the Cylons are going to have their little civil war while the fleet gets closer/farther from Earth. That's cool by me.
Cally has been so diminished in the last season that I guess they said let's just get rid of her all together. I wanted her to survive one more show so she could walk around with the “I got a secret” look on her face and could play some nice cat and mouse games with the Chief. If she is the last cylon that would rock.

Appollo becoming the puppet of Tom Zarek is okay by me. I did like when Apollo brought up the fact that President Roslyn/Bush was going to stack the court with her appointments. Sound familiar?
I actually think Zarek would be a great last cylon. You can almost see the distain in his eyes when he watches Jamie Bamber portray Apollo. But hey, at least he’s working -- and not sitting next to the phone like Dirk Benidect waiting for it to ring.
And speaking of the last cylon, I was going to string out my theories over the next few weeks. But since it will be revealed next week, here are my other picks:
1) Billy, the former secratary to President Rosylin. I liked his character and was pissed when he was killed off.
2) Good Doctor Cottle. Why, you may ask? Simple. He smokes in the sick bay with oxygen tanks all around him and he doesn’t care, knowing he could blow everything up and just wake up in a cylon bath of slime.
He's also just damn cool.

How many people did they pull off of the Galactica to serve with StaRRRbuck? It seemed like if the fleet came under fire, Saul would have to man a viper.

No Gauis = not a good episode in my book.
Finally, I leave you with this -- There is a new JACK IN THE BOX commercial that shows the Galactica being blown up! Do they know something that we don’t, and just want to cushion the blow? Or are they just a bunch of A-holes? You decide:

I would like to talk about the final 5, but apparently that is forbidden so I won't. And the Raiders are kinda like pets, pets that can fly real fast and shoot your human ass.

When is Saul Thigh going to say the word RRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I like to extend his R when he says StaRbuck. Say it with me StaRRRRRRRbuck. Now wasn't that fun. Now Thigh is pimpin out Tory. Nice!!! First he gets the eye patch, now all he needs is a gold grill, purple hat, and a walkin stick.

Looks like StaRRRbuck cashed in one of her acting lessons gift certificates this year. (Inside joke for Nar.) Ok, I'll tell everyone -- at the BSG convention Nar and I attended this crazy super fan gave Kate a hand made scarf. During the Q&A I wanted to ask her if anyone ever gave her a gift certficate for acting lessons.

Nar would't let me.

Remember cylons aren't gods they are mechanics.

In the future/past they get drunk off of lime gatorade. Cause when Appollo was doing shots it looked like gatorade to me. I drink that many shots of gatorade I don't get silly I get to the nearest bathroom and make like the mighty Mississippi.

I dont claim to be a psychatrist, but there is something called the Id the Ego and the Super Ego, and I think Gaius has all of them working on overdrive.

El líder del PPdeG, Alberto Núñez Feijoo, aseguró ayer que su partido está preparado por si el presidente de la Xunta convoca las elecciones gallegas antes de junio del 2009 y dio un consejo al número uno de la Xunta, que ha considerado «intransferible» e «indelegable» la facultad que le asiste de llamar a las urnas. «As leis din que antes ten que ser oído o Consello da Xunta, aínda que a sinatura do decreto corresponde ao presidente», puntualizó el dirigente conservador.

Feijoo aseguró que es «razonable» y «lóxico» que en una situación de «crise económica» como la actual, Galicia cuente con un calendario electoral para dar «estabilidade política e económica». «Se fose presidente daría a coñecer o calendario», sostuvo el líder del PPdeG.

El presidente de los populares gallegos recordó que la «crise» no se soluciona llamando «burro ou débil mental a ninguén». «Por decir que o presuposto da Xunta está inflado un 20% se me chama burro pola mañá e pola tarde o FMI rebaixa a previsión de crecemento de España por debaixo do 2%», destacó. Touriño había calificado la víspera de «burrada» una intervención de Feijoo en la que señalaba que el Gobierno gallego carecía de presupuesto.

Feijoo sostuvo que después de leer al FMI por la tarde, el presidente de la Xunta no sería contratado como economista, «nin siquera por unha empresa mediana galega».

O presidente da Deputación de Ourense fala de facer unha guerra de bases ( nesta nova ), no caso de que a dirección do PPdeG intente renovalo a el ou a súa directiva, como consecuencia do mal resultado nas pasadas xerais ( non pola súa política filantrópico-familiar, a ver que pensades ! ).

Para os descoñecedores, estos xeitos políticos tan maoístas, son o froito dun traballo reeducativo cultural, analizado brilantemente antes no Galpón de Breogán en: "Bandas de gaitas e dominación global" ," Informe CEFOU" e "Mamá eu de maior quero ser funcionario". Ademáis son a introducción pra entender as bases do derradeiro réxime boinil, e de como este mestre de aldea, ex-repartidor de gasesoa a domicilio chegou a acadar ese poder místico e absoluto.

O GdeB estos días, non sin perigo para as persoas, interceptou un dos panfletos que se están a repartir arestora polas vilas de Ourense, polas animadas bases:

O que eu não gostei

Na crítica sobre 'He That Believeth in me', o Bruno perguntou o que eu não gostei no episódio. Atendendo ao pedido, minha resposta.

Sinceramente, muito pouca coisa. Primeiro, óbvio, porque eu estava MUITO a fim de ver e quando você entrar no nível em que eu estou de obsessão é muito difícil encontrar defeitos (tenta me convencer que há alguma coisa errada com a trilogia Matrix? Pra mim não tem e eu vou dar nó em pingo d'água para explicar as coisas). Segundo, porque o episódio foi muito acelerado e parece que passou muito rápido.

Não cheguei a desgostar completamente de muita coisa. Sinceramente, na hora dos cultos ao Baltar eu fiquei meio entendiada. Reconheço que a idéia é legal, mas cada vez que parávamos o mistério da Starbuck para ver nego rezando, eu tinha vontade de pular a cena. Sem contar que eu não aguento mais ver o Baltar transando. Sério. Sério. Séééééério. "Ah, tá, agora é a hora que uma gostosa dá para o Baltar, blá, blá, blá". Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. That is SOOOOO first season.

Achei que o problema "Starbuck é uma cylon" foi resolvido rápido demais. Ah, tá, fizemos um testezinho aqui, que a gente sabe que não funciona desde a primeira temporada, e você pode andar pelos corredores livre, lépida e faceira. Tudo bem, colocaram a escolta. Mas, como o final comprovou, a Starbuck é mais do que capaz de botar qualquer escolta pra dormir em cinco segundos. A única cena boa (aliás, excelente) que isso rendeu foi o Tigh lembrando que o teste não funciona. Ele tem CERTEZA que não funciona, porque não funcionou com ele, mas ele não pode se entregar. Com um só olhar, ele mostrar tudo isso e mais o quanto tem medo e pena da Kara numa só. O Michael Hogan é foda.

Achei a presidente meio "mandona" demais, mas acho que isso é o rumo da personagem mesmo. Senti falta da Dee, que voltou a ser personagem secundária, e de saber o que diabos foi feito do casamento do Apollo. Mas isso deve se resolver em breve.

Por fim, achei o episódio ótimo, mas acho que eu teria gostado MUITO mais se eu não tivesse visto tantos promos e spoilers. O impacto da cena do Tigh atirando foi completamente perdido em mim, porque eu já tinha visto tantas cenas com ele que sabia que era um sonho. Vou tentar ver menos spoilers agora.

Acho que é isso. E você, Bruno? O que não gostou? E vocês que passaram por aqui? Alguma coisa que não gostaram?

«A fecha de hoy no entra en mis planes. Ahora, si cambio de planes, el primero en saberlo será el presidente de mi partido». La respuesta de Esperanza Aguirre a la pregunta de si disputará o no el liderazgo del PP a Rajoy, expresada ayer ante el propio presidente popular, abre las hostilidades de cara al congreso del partido en junio. Por si alguien lo dudaba, quedó claro que en el PP hay al menos dos proyectos distintos. Y que Aguirre luchará para defender el suyo. Sin querer enseñar sus cartas, afirmó sobre su posible candidatura que «cerrar ahora esa posibilidad sería un desprecio a los 700.000 militantes y 3.000 compromisarios del congreso».

«Las cosas se pueden hacer mucho mejor», dijo sin tapujos Aguirre en un foro periodístico en el que no solo cuestionó abiertamente a Rajoy sino que presentó todo un programa alternativo. Y aclaró que aunque hace poco le expresó su apoyo, «llegado el congreso, ya veremos los proyectos, los programas y en su caso las candidaturas». Jamás en la historia del PP se habían escuchado en público críticas tan duras al líder. Frente al discurso conformista de Rajoy sobre sus resultados en las elecciones, Aguirre exigió un «análisis muy pormenorizado» de las «causas» por las que no ganó los comicios. Ella misma adelantó que una de ellas es el hecho de que el PP cayera en las «trampas ideológicas» del PSOE, lo que que le hizo aparecer «como un nasty party, un partido antipático, anticuado, al que le cuesta mucho trabajo ganar terreno entre sus electores».

Franco y los homosexuales

Durante su discurso, desgranó verdaderas cargas de profundidad contra Rajoy. Cuestionó que el PP se posicionara en contra de los matrimonios homosexuales porque un partido que siempre ha «denunciado la homofobia», apareció como una fuerza política «que se opone a una extensión de derechos». Con la misma dureza abominó del discurso oficial del PP sobre el franquismo. Criticó que una fuerza política «que no es heredera de ninguno de los partidos de la Segunda República» haya defendido que hay que «mirar hacia el futuro» cuando se le pregunta por Franco, lo que ha sido percibido «como una muestra de inseguridad» o como «un intento de justificar la dictadura de Franco», un régimen «con el que el PP no tiene nada que ver». Todo ello ha provocado, según dijo, que «al votante desengañado del PSOE le resulte difícil dar el paso a un partido liberal y abierto». Y que si Zapatero llega hasta el 2012 en la Moncloa «el PSOE habrá gobernado en España 22 de los últimos 30 años».

Tras hacer trizas el proyecto de Rajoy, pasó a exponer el suyo. Con el latiguillo de «no me resigno a que...» incluyó un rosario de críticas a lo que supuestamente ha permitido hasta ahora el PP. «A que con un porcentaje ínfimo de votos los nacionalistas acaben dictando la política española»; «a que el PP no dé las batallas ideológicas y sea capaz de ganárselas a los socialistas»; «a que para que gane el PP los votos de la izquierda tengan que dividirse o que la participación sea muy baja»; «a que tengamos que parecernos al PSOE para aparentar un centrismo o una modernidad», citó entre otras. Y como no se resigna a eso, aclaró que está «dispuesta a dar la batalla para que los españoles conozcan de verdad la opción abierta, moderna y liberal» que es el PP. Para ello animó a «renovar y actualizar nuestros principios ideológicos» en el próximo congreso.

Y, como pidiendo ya equidad a los organizadores de ese congreso ante su posible candidatura, afirmó que quien se presente sin el apoyo de la dirección nacional «lo tendrá un poco difícil, para que nos vamos a engañar».

No meio do caminho tinha um plantão e eu demorei para conseguir baixar o primeiro episódio da quarta temporada. Tudo bem, já que os próximos dois devo ver in loco na terra do tio Sam. Mas vai aí o que eu achei. Contém SPOILERS.

Para quem reclamou que a terceira temporada era muito parada, a quarta chega chutando a porta, no meio da maior batalha que o seriado já viu desde o primeiro episódio, que só ganha porque o mundo acabou. Vemos naves da frota sendo destruídas e efeitos especiais de tirar o fôlego. Aliás, essa pausa de um ano fez muito bem para a equipe de efeitos, os combates estavam mais reais, os ângulos mais ousados. A batalha foi linda, linda.

Em meio a um episódio cheio de ação, minha cena favorita foi uma das mais paradas. A que o almirante e o Lee conversam revendo a imagem do viper da Kara explodindo em mil pedaços. Primeiro porque é ótimo ver que os dois voltam às boas depois do final da temporada passada. Lee e Adamão são a única "família" que existia antes do fim das colônias e é muito triste que eles se distanciem. O "put them back on" do Adamão foi de partir o coração. Dá pra ver como ele se orgulha de ter um filho piloto. Mas a parte que mais me arrepiou foi quando Apollo manda: "e se fosse meu irmão a sair daquele cockpit? Faria alguma diferença se ele fosse um cylon?".

É o cerne da questão em BSG: o que define um ser humano. E ver isso no Lee, um personagem que passou as três primeiras temporadas com o sangue quente quando o assunto eram os cylons é comovente. Ele foi um dos únicos que não engoliu 100% a nova Sharon. E ele confessar isso, de que amaria seu irmão mesmo que ele fosse um cylon (e, na entrelinha, de que amaria a Starbuck mesmo se ela fosse) é um avanço e tanto para o personagem, que pelo visto vai ter um papel de liderança importante nesta temporada.

A frase do Lee ecoa mais tarde, quando o Anders quase sai do armário e diz que se Kara fosse uma cylon desde o começo, isso não mudaria quem ela era e o amor que ele sente. Também ecoa o que Tigh anda rosnando para cima e para baixo: que ele decide de que lado ele está, independente do que seja. E toda a questão no centro de Galactica: afinal, o que é que nos faz humanos?

Em todas as guerras da humanidade, os soldados costumam desumanizar o inimigo. Os judeus não eram gente para os nazistas e o nazistas não eram gente para os Aliados. Os vietcongs não eram gente para os americanos, eram os charlies. No caso dos cylons, eles começaram como robôs, mas o que são agora? Se eles parecem humanos por dentro e por fora, sangram como humanos, pensam como humanos, sentem como humanos, sofrem, erram, se apaixonam, por que não seriam humanos? Porque mataram? Matar não é humano? Porque foram produzidos pela humanidade? Mas os bebês de proveta, os filhos da reprodução assistida, também não foram?

O que define humanidade? Se o seu irmão não fosse "humano", isso mudaria as experiências que você teve com ele durante toda a sua vida? Mudaria o amor que você sente? Assim, do nada? É isso que Apollo parece estar entendendo, e, pelo olhar, até o almirante pára um pouquinho para pensar. Starbuck é obrigada a pensar nessas coisas na marra, porque até ela começa a duvidar do que é. Baltar já tem essas dúvidas há tempos e agora os quatro se juntam a ele. A única pessoa que parece determinada a continuar do jeito que as coisas estavam é Roslin, à beira da morte, e fica claro que até mesmo Adama está confuso, apenas seguindo suas ordens.

No mais, eu tenho medo do deus dos cylons. De arrepiar as cenas envolvendo o Baltar Jesus Cristo Superstar e o molequinho.

De resto, ficam as perguntas não respondidas e as novas perguntas:

- Ainda: o que diabos aconteceu com a Kara? Ela não parece estar mentindo, mas o que pode ter acontecido para ela pensar em seis horas e terem passado dois meses? E o seu viper? O que aconteceu?

- Qual é a das seguidoras do Baltar? Da onde surgiu isso? E por que diabos ele tem essa "linha direta" com deus?

- Por que os cylons se retiraram da batalha? Eles já enfrentaram o Anders antes, só não num viper. Por que só agora, depois do All Along the Watchtower, eles o reconheceram?

- Se a Six sente os final five "perto" porque a Athena parece que não? Por que ela nunca falou nisso?

- A batalha inicial: Linda

- O Chief gritando com todo mundo no deck

- A cara desesperada da Tory se voltando para o Tigh: “alguma coisa pode ter mudado”

Be forewarned: My writing is like the ramblings of a mad man, so if you get confused while reading welcome to my world.

The Cylon 4, as I will call them, are up to something. I don't know what it is but Anders getting a download is proof that his sleeper cell status is engaged. When Tigh shoots the old man I was like, "nice way to start the season", then it's only a thought -- ouch.

When Starbuck said she had been to Earth she failed to mention that she stopped off in Hollywood and saw first hand how shady this town can be and she is back from Bionic hell. Starbuck's viper was as clean as the one I bid on EBAY this last week. I feel for her, I've come back from Vegas weekends that felt like 2 months. I guess the 2 months was the time span Bionic Woman was on TV -- or was that the 6 hours???

Gaius Baltar is the man. Taken to his own harem is a gift from the gods not only for him but for all of us.

When Starbuck was complaining that after each jump they were getting further away from Earth, it was like hearing a girlfriend bitch and moan when you are lost on a road trip. President Roslin needs better security, just a thought. President Lincoln had better security.

I think I know who the last Cylon is... but that's another post. 'Till next time -- BSG is the best, so say we all.

BSG Season 4 He That Believeth In Me Episode Review

Let me go on record that the first ten minutes had my attention right from the get go. Anders first contact with the Cylon ship in space nailed him and the others to being the 4 out of the 5 remaining Cylons was fantastic. Mind blowing to say the least and the slo-mo effect between the Cylon roving red eye and Ander's human eye was eerie. WOW!

As Romo predicted Baltar landing on his feet proved to be a correct prediction. His new life is this lair of women, although there was a man in the background - (right?) had a David Kuresh/ Wacko feeling. On the one hand, Baltar has the ultimate paradise but when Derrick's mom being him before Baltar to heal him or to make him better just continues another set of lies to cover his ass. He is his worst enemy no matter how bad the situation gets. No matter how genuine he tries to be at times with his convictions, something or someone will take a shot at him to bring him down. This is where it's hard to cheer for him to get his just desserts because we love to hate Baltar. With Derrick's health being restored, Baltar has found yet another path of greatness to walk on.

The scene between Adama and Starbuck was great but for one moment, I believed he was going to reveal to her that he knows there is no Earth just like he admitted to Roslin way back in Season One. So either, he knew better to reveal this fact. He just continues to play up the facts the Starbuck's ship was brand new, no battle scars and no computer data but further down this season he will admit this fact to someone. This is where I thought he was able to talk to Apollo while he was watching the video of Starbuck's ship being destroyed. Even then, Adama is sullen as he carries the weight of the universe on his shoulders. More on Adama below.

Overall, BSG has picked up right where it left off and with all the strength and the richness of characters and storytelling for the past three seasons. This leaves us with the big question about who is the last Cylon. I don't want to say it's Roslin even though she had a shared vision with Six. Starbuck would be the obvious choice but I'll bet there is something else going on with her that is not Cylon. Apollo has not given any signs or indications other than leaving the military to grow in a new direction; maybe. I'm going to stick with Adama only because of something that happened back on season 1. If you remember, there was a woman, played by Gina (Six), who accused Baltar of being a traitor. Gina and Adama had a scene together in his quarters. He seemed really oddly still with her talking to him. Later, he suspected her to being a Cylon but did not but the call through to Tigh to arrest her until after she left the ship. Second, Boomer to became activated as a Cylon shot Adama. What better way to deter attention to one's self while hold such power.

I would be interested to learn your thought on this matter and your opinion of this episode.

What a day, we spent all morning on location. I almost didn't make it to lunch on time before class. I can't say much about work until next Monday, but it's going to be awesome.

Everybody is gearing up for the premiere of Battlestar Galactica's final season premiere tomorrow. I've caught a little of the ongoing marathons this past week.

Here are a few of my unanswered questions leading the season off:

Starbuck. Back. Enough said.

Anders, Tyrol, the Chief, and Tori. What's going to happen with that?

Lee living la vida civvy. Where's it going?

Baltar. I'm just excited to see James Callus do his thing. Let's see where he takes us.

Those are my short list of things to ponder before this Friday's episode.

Lot's going on this weekend, Mom's coming to town. Her sister and family are my cousins in Jersey. She'll be staying with them for the weekend, then coming into the city to visit my brother and I and have some fun. I guess I'd better clean my new apartment.

Countdown to Battlestar Galactica: 2 Days

On Friday arguably the greatest sci-fi television series of all time starts it's final season. Battlestar Galactica has turned spaceship drama into human drama, and has presented us with some of the most interesting and complex fictional characters ever seen on TV.

In fact, Dr. Gaius Baltar is my favorite TV character ever -- he's even surpassed Fox Mulder -- because he is so incredibly rich. Mix the self-interest of Iago, the guilt and indecision of Hamlet, and the arrogance and wit of Benedick, and you're half way to the fascinating Baltar. A near-Shakespearean role like this demands a British stage actor, and the astonishing James Callis absolutely mesmerizes. With every scene Baltar plays opposite his imaginary cylon lover, or talks to himself, or worms his way out of a sticky situation to save his skin -- you can tell the writers love writing this character.

And so it is with great anticipation I await the development of Gaius Baltar for one final season... He has come from scientist playboy, to traitor of the human race, to charismatic (and incompetent) President... And the last few episodes of season three saw him turning into a religious cult figure -- this should be good...
